A group of youths converged in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, on Wednesday in their numbers for a solidarity rally for Prince Mustapha Mona Audu.
The jubilant crowd marched through the streets linking NTA roundabout to Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) press centre in Lokoja as a show of solidarity for the candidacy of Prince Mustapha Mona Audu who is vying for Idah/Ibaji/Ofu/Igalamela-Odolu Federal House of Representatives seat.
The youths chanted songs and in solidarity of Prince Audu to pass vote of confidence as well as endorse him for the federal constituency seat.
Highlight of the solidarity march was a press conference where the youths lauded Governor Yahaha Bello for his support for Prince Audu as well as appealed for relevant authorities to rally round the youthful politician to enable him emerge victorious.
Speaking, the President, National Association of Kogi State Youths (NAKSY), Comr. Destiny Ibrahim who said he had never met Prince Audu in person, lauded him for the achievements recorded in various sectors.
According to him, for one who had never held any political office before, his achievements at the grassroots were worth celebrating and rewarding with the opportunity to do more.
Some of his contributions as highlighted by the group include: supporting the construction of a maternity hospital at Ejule, Ofu LGA of the state, construction of boreholes in many rural communities within his immediate constituency.
Others are the payment of stipends of N15,000 to some selected students across the state as well as various forms of empowerment amongst others.
In his contribution, Hon Musa Makoji from Ejule in Ofu LGA who doubles as the publicity secretary of the association, appealed to APC delegates most especially from Idah federal constituency to vote him Prince Audu in the forth coming APC primaries.
