The Omala APC Stakeholders have endorsed the aspiration of Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello to become the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

The decision was made at an elaborate stakeholder meeting held on Saturday at the local government headquarters.

The stakeholders said there was no going back on the demand for a youthful president in 2023, describing Bello as the symbol of a new Nigeria.

The Chairman of the council, Chief Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh, in his speech said that the governor has demonstrated capacity and has shown that he understands the issues setting the country back and has all it takes to restore the lost glory of the nation.

On his part, the Assembly member representing Omala state constituency, Prince Collins Musa said the call for the governor to run is borne out of his achievements of fighting insecurity, youth and women inclusion in governance, education development among others. The legislator stressed that Kogites and the entire Nigerians will be better off at his presidency because of his wealth of experience in governance.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the meeting, the SSA to the governor on Youth Empowerment Kogi East, Hon. Matthew Ochada said after assessing the credentials of the governor, they came to the conclusion that Yahaya Bello had the capacity, ability and integrity to reposition Nigeria.
