Kogi state chapters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) has confirmed that a one million man march for the electoral victory of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi in state on October 1.
The chairman of NLC/TUC mobilisation committee, a political movement, Comrade I.A. Abubakar, disclosed this on Tuesday in Lokoja while addressing all the state support groups of the party.
According to him, the movement has the backing of all the suffering masses of the country, urging all hands to be on deck for the success of the project.
He appealed to all support groups for the party’s presidential candidate in the state to as act in one accord and avoid strife in order to allow the Labour Party make meaningful impact in 2023 general elections.
He told the gathering that efforts were on mobilize members of the party in the 21 local government areas of the state.
