2023: Kogi West’ll Witness a Different Dimension of Representation – Teejay Yusuf

Ahead of 2023 elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Wednesday, screened national and state assembly aspirants in Kogi state.

Senatorial aspirant and serving House of Representatives member, Hon Teejay Yusuf was screened alongside others by the screening committee headed by Olorogun Jaro Egbo.

Addressing newsmen after the exercise, Teejay assured electorate that Kogi West senatorial district will witness a different dimension of representation if he is given the opportunity to serve.

He assured the electorate that the party would not regret choosing him as the flag bearer for the 2023 contest.

“I am currently representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency but I have projects in Lokoja-Kogi and Yagba federal constituencies. I am not representing them yet. I see the privileged position as an opportunity to serve.

“Kogi West will witness a different dimension of representation. It will be more work and less talk. My work will speak for me, just like it is speaking for me currently in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency.

“Accountability, transparency and good representation will be my watch word. My intention is to serve through effective and efficient representation and by bringing the dividends of democracy to the door steps of our people,” he said.

The third term Rep member said he does not believe in grandstanding but focused and effective representation.

Other aspirants screened on Wednesday include Samuel Aro, Adeniyi Olayemi and Daniel Melaye.
