The Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology (NKFI), Lokoja, Kogi State, has announced the commencement of 2022/2023 admissions into all it existing programmes approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The Acting Rector of the institute, Mrs Sefiya Musa, made this known in a statement issued in Lokoja on Thursday.
According to Musa, the admissions are into two years National Innovation Diploma (NID), one year National Vocational Certificate (NVC) and six months training certificate in any of the departments of the Institute.
These departments, she added, are in Welding and Fabrication (NID), Networking and System Security (NID), Computer Software Engineering (NIL), Electrical Electronic Technology (NID) and Automotive Mechatronics (NVC).
Musa, who said that Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute is operating under Kogi State Government, expressed optimism that the institute would soon be a leading one in the world technology development.
“We are still growing to be a leader in technological, technical and vocational training, not only in Nigeria, also by support from Korean International Corporation Agency (KOICA) and Korea Dong Eui University,” she said.
According to the Acting Rector, the institute welcomes prospective candidates in joining it by contributing to efforts aimed at equipping the organization with state-of-the-art equipment.
Musa said that the joint efforts would facilitate high quality and practical experience needed for the realisation of the dream of setting it up in the state.
She revealed that entry requirements includes 100 and above cut-off scores in JAMB examination for NID courses, five ‘O’ Level credits in science subjects, including English and mathematics.
According to the Acting Rector, the admission is opened till the first week of August 2022 and urged all interested candidates to apply through JAMB or purchase form directly from the institute.
