For the avoidance of doubt, those three senators currently representing Kogi in the Red Chambers will give way with their puerile politics for politics which will engender development in Kogi State come 2019
Three senators and none of them has the sense to put differences with Governor Yahaya Bello (GYB) aside when it comes to lobbying for what benefits Kogi State yet they will be making noise that they are pro-masses. Pro-masses indeed. Pro-masses only to give them entertainment with zero-value content. Pro-masses yet all Federal Roads in Kogi State have been left to GYB?
The Okene-Lokoja Federal Road is one of the most important roads in Nigeria, linking north and south. Yet for three years it has been GYB carrying out cosmetic rehabilitation on the road just so it doesn’t collapse and cut one part of the country off from the other. And when it was time to claim back expenses from FG, a senate committee was set up to look into it.
Since meetings in April, our federal representatives did not deem it fit to add their voices so that although the FG isn’t ready for the roads yet Kogi State should have their refund so that we can use the funds for some other projects. But now Kogi State has to keep rehabilitating so that transiting through Kogi State isn’t too traumatic.
But note this come next elections, my own Senator, Ahmed Ogembe is going out, Dino Melaye is definitely going out. As for Attai Aidoko, the one is already out.
Senators who cannot represent their people, those ones na senators? These are our candidates and we shall deliver them, Central, East and West
