With political activities in full swing, the aspiration of Amb. Oyeyemi Otitoju Oyela to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu at the Federal House of Representatives on the platform of Social Democratic Party(SDP) has received a major boost as different groups have pledged to ensure his victory in the election.
In a solidarity visit to the aspirant in his country home, Ekinrin-Adde over the weekend, the groups under the aegis of Progressives Minded Youths, Young Ambassadors Association and Association of Ijumu Hunters pledged their unflinching support in his quest to represent them at the Federal House of Representatives.
According to them, their support for the aspirant is hinged on his pedigree which has put him ahead of other aspirants.
The groups opined that Amb.Oyela has demonstrated his love for the Youths of the area by securing employments for hundreds of jobless Youths and his commitment to the development and the growth across the area.
They described him as the youngest philanthropist of the time and charged him not to relent in his selfless service to humanity and prayed God to protect and grant him the desires of his heart.
The group said that his humility accessibility and his commitment to community development is unrivalled by any politician in the area, pointing out that the area will no doubt be better if he is given the mandate.
In another vein, Amb. Oyela, while hosting a group of stakeholders from different political parties who came to pledge their support for him, assured them that he will be their voice and not to let them down if given the opportunity to represent them at the Green Chamber.
Amb.Oyela reiterated his commitment to ensure that Youths and women empowerment programme takes the front burner, adding that a country that does not accord Youths and women a priority in its plans and programme is heading to destruction.
Speaking in his meeting with community leaders in the area to intimate them of his aspiration and to unfold his manifestoes, Oyela described the reception accorded him as overwhelming and demonstrated that he is the candidate to beat come 2019 general election.
According to him, his various visits to communities across the area has further made him to know the areas he would focus more attention on as soon as he is elected.
He expressed his dismay at the deplorable state of Ogale-Aduge road amongst many of the roads across the area and promised to work with relevant agencies at all tiers of government to rehabilitate the roads to fast track the social- economic activities of the area.
