The Kogi State Chapter of the Sule Lamido Presidential Campaign Organisation (SULAPCO) was yesterday inaugurated in Lokoja.
Leaders of the organisation said they resolved to work assiduously for the victory of the former Jigawa governor, who had for long indicated interest in going for the presidential race in 2019.
A former Member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Paul Gowon, who is the brain behind the Lamido campaign project in the state, said he was championing the course because of Lamido’s love for the masses.
“I believe in the welfare of the masses. I am a welfarist. Sule Lamido is a welfarist. I had the opportunity of visiting Jigawa when he was governor and I saw the way he transformed the state; I have no choice than to support his presidency,” he said.
