In Kogi State, we have suffered far too much, and the power to resist poverty, frustration and underdevelopment is now in our hands. We suffer humiliation and dehumanisation because we ignorantly keep quiet. We suffer hunger because we have no government to attend to our needs. How long do we continue to watch people destroy our future? If our parents in their old-age have been suffering while serving their land, what future do we the young generation and school age children think we have in the hands of men that do not care we exist? How long will people continue to play with our future and we continue to watch with complacency? Now is the best time to change the political landscape of Kogi State. To rule a complex society with myriads of wants and human desires requires a passionate leader with the milk of human kindness; an experienced politician with matchless, indelible records.

Hon. Benjamin Ikani Okolo is the one and only solution, from my many years of critical observations and empirical records, to the long political and managerial problems of Kogi State. His track records of laudable, human, infrastructural and social development in every community, villages and hamlets in Dekina Local Government far outshines and dwarfs the achievements of three governors put together. If he could achieve the biggest feat in Dekina with lean resources, if he could transform a local government and make it compete with some state headquarters, then, we should rest assure that he will touch every nook and cranny of the state regardless of party leaning, status and tribal differences.

It is time we channelled our support for a candidate with fat credentials and on-the-job experience to lead us out of the doldrums created out of human errors. It is time we supported and presented the candidacy of Honourable Benjamin Ikani Okolo for Governorship position in Kogi State. (Hon. Benjamin Ikani Okolo is currently, member of the House of Representatives, Abuja.)
