Eleven people on Wednesday were killed in an auto crash at Ohiana village along the Auchi-Okene high way in Kogi State.
A witness said that the accident which occurred at about 6am involved a Toyota Hiace bus with registration: Delta AYB 939 XP and a trailer loaded with cement.
FRSC unit commander for Okene, Sunday Ogungbemi, who confirmed the accident noted that preliminary investigation revealed that the Toyota Hiace Hilux Bus which had 22 passengers on board was heading to Warri from Abuja when the accident occurred.
The FRSC commander, who attributed the cause of the accident to over speeding, explained that the injured passengers were receiving treatment at the Okene General Hospital while the dead have been deposited at hospital’s morgue.
He advised motorists travelling for the Easter holidays to drive with care and avoid over speeding.
