Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Kolawole Matthew, has expressed confidence that the achievements of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in the next few years will make doubting Thomases have a change of mind towards his New Direction Agenda aimed at self sustenance, sufficiency and prosperity.
Prince Kolawole made this known in the congratulatory message to the Governor on the occasion of his one year in office anniversary.
Kolawole, member representing Kabba-Bunu state constituency in the state assembly, noted that under the watch of Governor Bello, Kogi state has been witnessing unprecedented turn-around.
“It is imperative to state unequivocally that your emergence was divine, and it is a hard fact that ,the State, under your watch is presently experiencing unprecedented turn-around.
“Expectedly, few eyebrows would be raised, in view of the few challenges still been encountered by Kogites, most especially, workers who are yet to be paid as a result of the knotty issues waiting to be thrashed out.
“But as an incurable optimist and a firm believer in your New Direction Agenda, I am convinced that the disturbing issues of ‘ unpaid salaries ‘ will be solved in no distant time.
“Under your saddle, Kogi State is steadily on the path of massive economic recovery, unprecedented growth and development.
“Since inception of the State in 1991, the administrative system and machinery of government has often time been infiltrated with moral decadence, massive corruption, fraud and unethical practices in all strata of our political economy , but your passionate quest to purge the system of bad eggs and unwholesome practices is now yielding the desired fruits and results.
“Your Excellency, Kudos to you for being proactive and consistently reiterating the essence of carrying out the needful, no matter whose ox is gored.
“Today, the ‘Revenue House’ is been commissioned for the benefit of all Kogites. Prior to your emergence, It was an open secret that the operations of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service was undertaken manually, but now, every operation of KSIRS is carried out digitally.
Kolawole saluted Governor Bello’s courage in tackling any cause in believe in regardless of whose ox is gore.
