AN OPEN LETTER/INVITATION TO INDEPENDENT CORRUPT PRACTICES AND OTHER RELATED CORRUPT PRACTICE COMMISSION (ICPC) COMMISSION
MISSING 96(NINETY SIX) PLUS SECURITY SECURITY PATROL VAN IN KOGI STATE: CALL FOR COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION
I am writing this Invitation/letter to Your dear and humble commissions as a bona fide Nigerian from ANKPA Local Government Area of Kogi state, to intimate you about the increasing rate of financial mismanagement,Abuse of offices, as well as dis honest Administrative tendencies been perpetuated by the current Administration of Yayaha bello in the State.and also call for a serious investigation on those acts listed above.
On the 15th of AUGUST 2016,the Governor YAHAYA BELLO came out and told the whole world that he bought over 200(two Hundred) patrol vans for various security agencies in the state with the collective wealth of the state to curb the level of insecurity in the state.Here is the statement from the GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO as quoted in Vanguard news of 15th AUGUST 20016
“According to the governor, “The state government will not relent in its commitment to tackle the problem of insecurity in the state. We will derive maximum benefits from hosting the AIG among the rest states under the zone.
My government will assist the zone to deliver in its services.” Bello who expressed delight that the crime rate in the state had dropped drastically, said: “I’m happy to inform you that my administration has purchased over two hundred Police Patrol Vehicles to assist in combating crimes which by the grace of God will be lunched on the 27th of this month as part of the activities to mark the twenty-five years of creation of the state.”
BUT it baffles me as a citizen of the state that on the day of the presentation of the security Vans to the security agencies in the state,the Numbers/units of vehicles reduced drastically from over 200(two hundred) to 104 (One hundred and four),Leaving the balance of over 96 security patrol vans bought with TAX payers money un- accounted for.
It is in view of the Above sharp administrative mal- practice coupled with abuse of public office,that i call on the commissions to help the State and the entire people of state to help the state unravel the mystery behind the following
1) The Whereabouts of the over 96 Security Patrol vans which were bought with the tax payers money.
2) Whether actually the Security Vans were purchased
3) If actually they were purchased,was due processes laid down by the financial and public procurement guidelines followed.
Conclusively, citizens like me have great confidence in your commission,because of the giant strides you have achieved in the past and still achieving in the fight against corrupt practices especially among public office holders who are entrusted with public trust and offices, hence the need for me to call on your commission to come to the aid of my humble state from these acts of FINANCIAL MISMANAGEMENT,and ABUSE OF OFFICE.and if possible constitutionally punish does behind such acts.
