Member representing Ijumu state constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Victor Omofaiye has declared his intention to contest for the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu House of Representatives seat in 2019.
Omofaiye made this known when he submitted his letter of intent to the chairman, Ekinrin-Adde ward chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.
He told the chairman and party supporters that he is joining the race to make himself available as the servant of the people.
“Leadership should be practiced not so much in words but in attitude and in actions. My respect for the party at every level prompted me to take this bold step to begin this journey from my ward,” he said.
The Ekinrin Adde APC ward chairman, Mr Emmanuel Aiyedogbon, in his response, pledged his unflinching support to the Omofaiye project.
He commended Omofaiye for his numerous interventions and initiatives towards the upliftment of the party morally and financially.
He said Omofaiye has always been on ground as a committed and consistent party man.
“You always heed to our cry and as such it is time to collectively team up and make this project our own,” he said.
