Kogi Workers’ Screening: Schedule of Appearances of All Affected Staff Before Complaints Committee

Kogi State Staff Screening Review and Complaints Committee to Commence attending to staff with problems from Monday, 8th August, 2016.

 

 

Kogi state civil servants that were yet to be cleared in the recently concluded staff screening exercise now have the opportunity to be attended to by the Staff Screening and Complaints Committee, which was set up by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, following the presentation of Screening Validation Report.

 

 

This is according to a circular signed by the Secretary to the Committee, Barrister I.O. Alhassan, which has been circulated to all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). The list of affected staff and the schedule of appearances of all the MDAs and the 21 Local Government Areas have also been dispatched through their Administrators respectively and the schedule is as detailed below:

All MDAs 8 – 13th August 2016

 

LGA Staff  15 – 20th August 2016

 

LGEA Offices and Teachers  22 – 27th August 2016

 

State Pensioners  29 – 31th August 2016

 

LGA Pensioners 1st -3rd September 2016
The Head of MDAs and LGAs and the Pension Boards are to forward Nominal Roll as at 31st December,2015, including secret and open files of the affected officers to the committee.

 

 

“Everyone involved should note that the date and time allocated to them should be strictly adhered to as the Committee will not be able attend to people outside their schedule period,” the statement said.

 

 

The Committee Secretary, Barrister Alhassan, said the lists of affected workers have been sent to their respective MDAs and the Local Government Areas, adding that everyone should go to their relevant offices to check for their names. He added that the committee will do its best to attend to everyone with complaints within the stipulated time.

 

Similarly, the committee is ready to put extra time in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible and to urgently alleviate the suffering of Kogi State Workers.

 

“We are ready to do everything to ensure that no legitimate worker is disenfranchised and call on all affected Staff to come and present their problems before the committee on the scheduled dates,” he said.
