CMD, Kogi Hospital Mgt Board Sues for Promptness

Following the suspension of the strike action by the Nigerian Labour Congress, Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Zakari has directed all health workers across health facilities to resume duties.

The Chief Medical Director gave the directive in the course of a management meeting at his office in Lokoja.
He further directed that all Medical Officers must ensure prompt compliance as the good people of Kogi State suffered untoward hardship while the strike lasted.
The CMD gave assurance of immediate restoration of all medical and ancillary services provided at the various Zonal Hospitals, General Hospitals, Cottage Hospitals and Specialist Hospitals in the state.
He reiterated the resolve of the New Direction Government of Governor Yahaya Bello to provide quality, effective, accessible and affordable medical care to the good people of Kogi State as demonstrated in the prime position of health among the five areas of the New Direction Blueprint.
In the same vein, the CMD charged the communities where health facilities are located to take special interest in them with the view to provide support or escalate issues requiring immediate actions.
He called for vigilance on the part of facility management in the health facilities, stressing that cases of unusual diseases or increase in the incidence of known diseases should be brought to immediate notice of  appropriate Authorities.
