She called on them to continue to pray for Kogi state and the entire leadership of the country, stressing that no doubt it is the responsibility of the government to provide for its citizenry, there is also need for them to embark on voluntary services that will touch the lives of the common man on the street.
“I must commend you all for your hard work towards building a better country Nigeria. Your roles in proper child upbringing cannot be overemphasized as your continuous prayers for the peace of Kogi and Nigeria in general is highly appreciated.
“Being a widow or widower or an orphan is not a crime. Nobody here chose to be one. But since you are in this state, you should always be happy and put aside anything bothering you as Christmas is all about love, celebration, giving and good relationship.
“On several occasions, I have told people to stop moving around to look for politicians. If you use your time very well, they will be the one coming after you. While staying abroad, where I was before I came back to Nigeria, oil people don’t suffer. We must come out with strategic idea on how we are going to help our senior citizens,” she said.
Agbogun however thanked partners of the organization PEE LINKS, GEEMONY and DAVE MEDICINE for their tireless effort in supporting the aged ones in the state just as she vowed that the organization will continue to sustain this in the years to come.
