The member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem (SEA), has paid Yuletide visits to several churches and women groups across Ajaokuta Local Government Area, extending goodwill and support to the people.
The lawmaker visited St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Holy Spirit Church, Reighner Church, as well as the Widows’ Association and other women groups, where he distributed cash donations, clothing, and food items as part of the season’s celebrations.
Addressing the congregations, Hon. Sanni stated that his mandate belongs to all the people of Ajaokuta, irrespective of faith or background. He emphasised that his engagement with the people would not be limited to election periods, assuring them of continuous identification and service.
The federal lawmaker highlighted some of his achievements in the House of Representatives and also outlined key interventions and accomplishments of the Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu within Ajaokuta LGA. He assured the congregations of sustained presence of both state and federal governance in the area through consistent lobbying and collaboration. He further appealed for prayers for himself, Governor Ododo, and President Tinubu for wisdom and success in leadership.
In appreciation, the churches commended the lawmaker for his generosity while also presenting some of their pressing challenges. Hon. Sanni pledged to support the churches in addressing their various needs.
Following the church visits, several women associations—including the Widows’ Association, Police Wives, Madrasatul Ya Amin, Southern Kaduna Women, Hausa Community Women, Yoruba women, Rimari Group, Okun Group, and Tiv Group—converged at a guest house in Ajaokuta Township. There, the lawmaker again donated cash, clothing, and food items, while reassuring the women of his continued support and commitment to their welfare.
Specifically addressing the Widows’ Association, Hon. Sanni conveyed the assurance of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who has pledged to continue standing in the position of a husband to widows across the state.
The event concluded with prayers, praises, and expressions of gratitude from representatives of the various women associations, who appreciated the lawmaker’s compassion.
