Yuletide: Kogi Labour Adviser Donate Bags of Rice, Cash to Imane Ward 1 APC Executive in Olamaboro LG

Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka has donated bags of rice and cash to All Progressives Congress (APC) party executive in Imane ward one, Olamaboro Local Government Area.

At the presentation on Thursday, Comrade Onuh Edoka said the donation was to make the party officials celebrate the Christmas and new year festivities with ease.

Comrade Edoka, who was represented by Olamaboro Local Government Special Assistant, Comrade Daniel Abenelu Edoka, explained that the gesture also demonstrated Governor Usman Ododo’s love for the masses as demonstrated through several welfarist programmes, including prompt payment of salaries, minimum wage implementation among others.

According to the Special Adviser, no welfare package to the people can be said to be too small under the present economic realities, assuring that he will improve on the welfare programmes as God provides.

Comrade Edoka highlighted the concern of the Governor towards the development of Imane ward one and Olamaboro local government at large, saying the administration will come up with development template for the area.

He congratulated the people on the occasion of the Christmas celebration and appealed to the party leaders to sustain their loyalty with a view to strengthening the APC.

“Let me emphasize at this point that the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is friendly to all, we can see it, we can feel it all over, workers are happy, pensioners are happy, artisans are happy, youths and women are happy, and that is the joy of democracy, even the payment of salaries on the 14th of this month is now the story every where”, he stated.

Responding, the APC ward Chairman in Imane ward one, Alhaji Abdul Alikali, popularly called KAMPALA, expressed appreciation to the Special Adviser for recognizing the party.

Alhaji Abdul described Comrade Edoka as an honest person who gives without looking back and assured that the gesture will be reciprocated at the appropriate time.

Also speaking, the Councillor representing the ward, Beatrice Zakari extolled the leadership qualities of Comrade Edoka whom she noted has been consistent in his selfless services to his people.

The Councillor promised to always support the Special Adviser in his aspirations and wished the people a peaceful celebration.

The ward youth leader, Alhaji Nuhu Abubakar who also spoke at the event, commended the Governor for appointing credible people into his Government, stressing that Comrade Onuh Edoka has always remained a worthy ambassador of the area, urging others in positions of authority to emulate him for a better democracy
