Dear Friends and Partners in Progress,
- In the spirit of yuletide as year 2025 winds to a glorious end, we are delighted to extend our warm season’s greetings to you all. As a team, we wish to particularly use this medium to reassure our Extended Volunteers, Working Partners, and other forms of Collaborators, that we are with them in spirit during this period of celebration, and do share in their joy as we all make recount of activities for the ending year, and have praises returned to God almighty for His enduring grace and mercy.
- In line with our work-culture, appropriate review of activities for year 2025 has been conducted, and we are therefore pleased to announce that, we recorded significant gains and progress despite the challenges that stared us in the eyes. Following the above, we must frankly state that, this great feat couldn’t have been achieved without Team Work; so, we once again as always wish to seize this opportunity to make known that we recognize and accordingly appreciate the invaluable support that has over the years been received from our pool of Stakeholders—-that are always putting in their best efforts to ensure the smooth running of our operations, with a larger intent of providing us with the necessary support that is continually required to deliver on our working mandate.
- To the glory of God, and consequent upon our collective resolve as a team, we were able to carry out Three (3) major projects that directly impacted on beneficiaries drawn from our Traditional Catchment (Aged, Widows, Children, People Living with Disability, and Other Vulnerable Members of the Society). For the purpose of clarity, please find below the refered projects:
I. Eil-il-Fitr Sallah Celebration Outreach: to begin our activities for the year, we had in the month of March visited the Deidei/Dakwa Area of the FCT-Abuja, to engage with them through sensitization on societal ills and admonition on how to address the same. The outreach, as structured and executed, also featured the distribution of some palliatives. In particular, the Team was able to distribute One Hundred (100) bags (5kg) of packaged rice to One Hundred (100) households, and backed with cash disbursement specifically to the Aged. Of importance, especially for record purpose, is to explicitly state that this project was carried out in the first quarter of the year as it was strategically scheduled to serve as a make up for our cancelled End-of-Year-Outreach in 2024, due to report of stampede and government’s strict warning on any public gathering.
II. FOUNDER’S BIRTHDAY OUTREACH: as customary, the our team of dedicated Volunteers seized the opportunity of our founder and president’s birthday which falls in the 13th of October, to execute our second major activity for the year. This outreach specifically designed for children in orphanage homes and some remote villages in Anyigba area of Kogi State. This particular project was carried out with the sole aim of ensuring sustained working relationship with the orphanage home taking care of the vulnerable children, and to as well serve as a follow up on our earlier outreach in the area. With this outreach, the Team reassured them (the orphans) that they are not alone, as we remain with them in spirit and open to take their requests and respond to their call on any troubling issue (s) regardless of the passage of time. High point of the programme featured distribution of relief materials, food and drinks, dance and quiz competition to warm the children’s brain as much as they are made to exercise their body. To conclude the visit, Matrons and other Workers in the Orphanage Home were engaged in a heart-to-heart discussion, during which they were appreciated for the sacrifices they are making, advised on how to ensure improvement in their operation.
Coordinated by our Team Leader in the Area, Onugwa (Mrs), we recorded huge success, and have it in record as part of success story.

III. END OF YEAR 2025 MEGA OUTREACH: since establishment thirteen (13) years ago, one of the major projects always ear-marked for execution in every working calendar is to put together an End-of-Year Celebration/Party for the benefit of all our dependants across all Catchment Areas. As usual, the programme for this year held in Lokoja, the Capital of Kogi state, on the 16th of December, 2025. For this very outreach, we recorded huge success with Increased Number of Beneficiaries and Orderliness. It is important to state that the recorded success wouldn’t have been if not for early preparation enabled by our Management Team. This year’s edition of the programme remain special in our record as we had our Founder and President, Wuraola Gold Alfa (Mrs), present with significant inputs which added more colors to the event. Deeply appreciated for her support for the vulnerable, she seized the opportunity to announce her readiness to ensure physical presence every year henceforth.
Extended gestures to the beneficiaries are: packaged food stuffs , sanitary provisions, cooked food and drinks, writing materials, Award of Scholarship to Deserving Pupils, Business Grant, and Cash Gifts.
Marked by impactful activities, namely:
sensitization on societal ills and the role of Parents/Guardians in helping to curb them for the safety of future generations, bonding and one-on-one interactions with the vulnerable children, dance and quiz competition, presentation of gifts to outstanding participants.
4.To consolidate on the gains recorded so far, we are not stopping at just hoping, but has in ernest constituted a Committee to draw calendar for our activities in the coming year.
Some of the projected areas of focus are:
I. EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM: involving all Stakeholders, particularly, School owners, Classroom Teachers, Parents/Guardian, and the Student/Children. As envisaged and designed, the same shall be themed “Back to School”, and to hold on Children’s Day.
With this, we hope to create a balanced learning system for the children. Continuous and rapid interaction between Parents/Guardians is sure one of the formidable ways of ensuring proper upbringing of every child, and our own children in this part of the world—- on whose shoulders the might and future of our Nations rest are not exempted.
II. INCREASED BENEFICIARY SIZE: In all our years of Operation, we made it compulsory to periodically conduct NEEDS ASSEMENT in every visited location. Following the several feedbacks shared with us by senior citizens in the visited areas, we are glad to share with you all that, we are projecting 25% increment in our beneficiary size.
III. ENLARGED SUPPORT BASE: As part of our success story, we have over the years conducted ourselves and operation to the admiration of multitudes.. To this effect, we currently have some interested Volunteers in our watch list. With our projection for the coming year, we unavoidably need the assistance of more helping hands, and shall therefore properly profile some of the Newbies. In doing this, we are assured of A Strengthened Team, which by effect aids increased productivity and enlarged consultative platform.
IV. FLAGGING OFF AND LAYING OF FOUNDATION FOR OUR HOSTEL: As part of our long-term goal, our Management Team has approved the construction of Hostel specifically for the benefit of children with special needs. This, upon completion, shall be recorded as our first Model Project. In accordance with the adopted design, the facility is aimed at providing:
Two Hundred (200) Bed Space, Primary and Secondary School, Learning and Instructional materials, Recreational and Worship Centres, Skills Acquisition Unit, School Bus, and Welfare Packages for the convenience of the Hostel Matron and Team.
- As our major publication for the year, we wish to use this medium to thank all our loved ones who whom through their calls, texts and physical presence extended their heartfelt condolences following the demise of our Grand-Matron, and mother to our Founder, whose passing away dealt us all a big blow. We are grateful for the prayers, support, especially those who honored us with their presence for her interment at Ikare on the 5th and 6th of December, 2025.
