The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State Chapter, Comrade Israel Femi Alonge has hailed the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Prince) Matthew Kolawole for fulfilling part of his campaign promises by appointing impressive numbers of Youths from the State as legislative aides.

Alonge who praised the Speaker for not being a use and dump kind of politician, further described him as a man of his words.

The Council Chairman in his words said “The Right Honorable Speaker has given Kogi Youths the Opportunity to be given political recognition in the state and this is a clear direction to the practical manifestation of the #NotTooYoungToRun Law”.

On behalf of the Council, the Chairman Congratulates amongst others; Comrade Julius Olushola Abel (OntopTheWorld), Special Assistant on New Media; Comrade Eniola Olayemi, Special Assistant on Youth Affairs (Yagba Federal Constituency); Comrade Christopher Barikin, Special Assistant on Education; Comrade Juwon Moses Oloruntoba, Special Assistant on Students Affairs; and Comrade Isa Abubakar (Ada Abu), Special Assistant on Youth Affairs (Lokoja-Koto Federal Constituency) as part of the numerous youths appointed and reappointed by the Speaker.

Alonge enjoined the newly appointed aides to remain committed to their duties and also remember the Youth constituency that they represent noting that their actions will go a long way in either encouraging or discouraging other leading politician to invest in Youths.

It is evident to say that in Kogi State under the Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration, youths have been given a special place of political recognitions and we must reciprocate such gestures by standing solidly behind this administration that has given us this much value.

The Youth Council boss stressed that appreciating the Speaker will never be described as a misplacement of priority. Hence, the Council is charging other political office holders to create rooms for fixing Kogi Youths with benefit of expressing their competence.

Signed:

Jacob Abraham
Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter.
