Implementing practical infrastructural development at the grassroot level involves creating opportunities for youth empowerment. This could be achieved by focusing on building community centers, skill development hubs, and accessible educational facilities to equip young people with the tools they need for success.

To various investors, philanthropists, political leaders and Community initiatives, it is noteworthy to encourage entrepreneurship within the Youth in Okun land, and not stomach infrastructure or being used as stooge or bootlickers. Attracting small medium enterprises/ business support programs could thrive if an enabling environment is created. And that could go a long way to develop the entire Okun land.

In addition, investing into sustainable projects that address local needs, such as clean water, power supply, good roads, sellable products or services, renewal energy, forest wood produce, agricultural development and the chain-value management, will raise the internally generated revenue from Okun land. Perhaps, as a people, the corporative advantage be branded to the place of honour among the comity of tribes. Who says Okun land can produce the highest cash crop, grains, oil, vegetables, tubers etc

However, in the Twenty first century, youth development should rally round the promotion of digital literacy initiatives to bridge the technology gap, enabling youth to access information and connect with global opportunities. This could be rooted and sustained by establishing mentorship programs that pair experienced individuals with aspiring youth to provide guidance and knowledge transfer.

As we go into 2024, all stakeholders are encouraged to create platforms for young people to participate in local decision-making processes. Furthermore, investment into sports and cultural facilities to promote both physical health and community cohesion.

In nutshell, sustainable development at the grassroots level requires a holistic approach that encompasses education, skill-building, mentorship, and community involvement. Integrating sports, music, and vocational training into grassroots development is key for holistic youth empowerment. Establishment of sports facilities to encourage physical activity, teamwork, and discipline. Support for creativity through music programs could nurture artistic talents, fostering creativity and self-expression.

Investment in vocational training centers to provide practical skills aligned with local employment needs, enhancing employability. By combining these elements, communities can create well-rounded opportunities for the youth, promoting personal development and contributing to a vibrant and resilient local culture.

God bless Okun land!
