The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government, Hon Joseph Omuya Salami, has been applauded for taking after his mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello, in the area of gender inclusion.
Women leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across eleven wards in Adavi LG made this known when they paid the council chairman a courtesy visit.
Led by Kogi State APC Deputy Woman Leader and APC Zonal Woman Leader (Kogi Central), they described the visit as means to convey their appreciation on how the council boss has been so supportive to women stakeholders of the party.
The attested to the fact that most of them have benefited from the Council Chairman’s love for their gender in terms of political appointment, cash, and other support.
“We are here to thank you for the job well done, acknowledge your efforts for all you’ve been doing to encourage our great party followers of which women are not left behind.
“We also want to appeal to you to carry everyone along in your benevolence to the people of All Progressives Congress. It is no doubt that our request will definitely be looked into as usual.
“You have portrayed the style of leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello in women inclusiveness governance at the grassroots level,” they said.
In a brief response, Hon. Joseph Omuya appreciated their gesture, words of commendations and reiterated his commitment to always work for the progress of the party and protect her interest for the progress on oneness and ensure success of Governor Yahaya Bello.
He pledge to support every other candidate contesting under the ruling party in the forthcoming 2023 general election and beyond.
“We are committed to the success of our great party and the interest of our leader Alh. Yahaya Bello whose blueprint we operate upon. wherever he stands, we stand. Wherever he goes, we go.
“I appreciate this visit, and I also want to appeal once again to you all that the gospel of APC is the gospel that doesn’t have an end. We should continue spreading the gospel until our leader, brother and Son, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello becomes the next President of our great nation, Nigeria,” he said.
