Member representing Ajaokuta federal constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, has assured the Gidan-Bassa community of his strong support.
He gave the assurance when he visited to celebrate the end-of-year festivities with Bassa-Komu Communities in Ajaokuta LGA, and extend his empowerment scheme to them.
“Your burden is my burden. Always call me whenever there are challenges, and I will come to help resolve them,” he assured.
He recalled his intervention in facilitating the provision of a transformer to the area when the community previously called on him, citing it as an example of his commitment to service.
The lawmaker further highlighted that the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has prioritised quality and people-oriented leadership, a vision from which Ajaokuta has greatly benefited. He used the occasion to rally continued support for the Ododo-led administration.
As part of his immediate interventions, Hon. Sanni Egidi requested the submission of five names, three women and two youths, for instant empowerment, while assuring the community that other demands would be carefully addressed.
The event attracted several traditional rulers and community leaders.
Speaking at the gathering, HRH Monda Samson the Aguma of Gidan-bassa eulogised Hon. Sanni Egidi for his developmental strides, describing him as a dependable pillar and a problem solver for the people of Ajaokuta. He commended the lawmaker’s accessibility and responsiveness to community needs
Also speaking, the Patron of the Association championing the Bassa Komu end-of-year celebrations, Mr. Paul described Hon. Sanni Egidi as a true leader of the people. He presented pressing challenges confronting the community, including the grading of chiefs and other developmental concerns.


In a related development, the lawmaker also graced a women’s group celebration in Emi-oworo, where he identified with the group unsolicitedly. He requested a list of members to be incorporated into the women’s group under his political canopy for continuous support and benefits.
The visit concluded with a courtesy call to the palace of Alh Sheidu the Aleoto of Emiworo, where prayers were offered and royal blessings were bestowed on the lawmaker, marking a successful and impactful community engagement tour.
