Member representing Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ozigi Muhammad Tijani, on Sunday received members of the Ageva community who paid him a visit to express their appreciation for the installation of a new transformer and streetlights in their area.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Chairman, Mallam Ismaila Yusuf, thanked the lawmaker for his swift response to their needs.
Mallam Ismaila noted that during the installation of the transformer, the community identified several areas that still lacked streetlights.
“Today, those areas have been fully illuminated, a gesture he described as “the work of a listening and action-driven leader,” he said.
Mallam Ismaila revealed that Hon. Ozigi did not only donate the transformer, but also fully funded its installation including the purchase of all required materials without requesting a single contribution from the community. According to him, this gesture felt like “giving us both wife and bed,” symbolizing complete and heartfelt support.
He prayed that just as Hon. Ozigi brought Ageva out of darkness, may Almighty Allah continue to guide him with light in all his affairs.
In his response, Hon. Ozigi Muhammad Tijani reassured the delegation that no ward under his constituency would be left out of developmental projects. Representing two local governments, he emphasized his commitment to fairness, inclusiveness, and visible impact.
He admitted that the transformer was not originally part of his development plan for Ageva, but he felt compelled to take action because electricity is essential to both daily living and economic growth. He urged the community not to see this achievement as the end, promising that even greater developments are on the way.
“Don’t think because I have donated a transformer that I am done with the community,” he said. “More good news are coming to the constituency, and Ageva will not be left out. You voted me to represent you, and I am there because of you.”
The visit ended with renewed hope and strengthened trust between Ageva community and their representative, as residents look forward to the next phase of development across the constituency.
