The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman has saluted Senator Abubakar Ohere’s unrelenting commitment to the development of the state.
Prof Salisu, in a message of felicitation on the occasion Engr Ohere’s 58th birthday celebration on Saturday, described him as an inspiration to many, as he always displays a strong character of a detribalised personality.
He further described Engineer Ohere as someone who chooses merit over tribal or religious affinity.
He appreciated the celebrant for his invaluable contributions to the development and advancement of Kogi State in various offices he occupied, particularly as Commissioner and Senator representing Kogi Central.
“We celebrate you today for your worthy and immense contributions to the emergence of the new Kogi State and for your selfless service to Nigeria and humanity.
“Your unwavering commitment to the development of our state and country as well as your unrelenting support for education are an inspiration to us all.
“The Polytechnic community is grateful for your guidance and support which have been instrumental in shaping the Institution’s growth and progress,” he said.
The Rector prayed God Almighty in His infinite mercy to continue to grant Engineer Ohere the needed wisdom, knowledge and understanding and good health.
