Yahaya Bello Unveils Devt Plan Agenda For Kogi State

The Governor -Elect of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has unfolded the development agenda of his government promising to give the state a new economic beginning.

 

In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Dayo Thomas in Abuja, the Governor-Elect has identified agriculture, education, health, tourism and human capital development as major sectors that will be used to drive the economy of the state.

 

Bello assured that there must be a positive change in the state for the benefit of the citizenry.

 

He pledges to address the problems of tribal and religious differences in the state that have combined to slow down development in the state.

 

Bello is also optimistic that Kogi State will be one of the best economy in the next four years.

 

“Kogi State is unique not just in her development potentials but even her history. As the only state bordered by ten states, Kogi has the geographical potentials to develop rapidly by leveraging on that and also her proximity to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

 

“The history of the people is filled with rich cultures and richer human capacity to excel against all odds. By natural endowment, Kogi is blessed by great fertile lands that confer agricultural potentials on the state and importantly, confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue places Kogi as a great fishing and tourism potential,” the statement read.
