Lawmaker representing Okene II Constituency, Hon. Zakari Yusuf (Nescafe) on Saturday in Okengwe district informed the people that the recent battle to persecute the former Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has been defeated, hence, people should be rest assured that Yahaya Bello will continue to triumph plan by enemies of the state.
Hon. Zakari stated this while addressing party members in Abuga/Ozuja ward of Okene Local Government at a meeting to affirm the appointment of three party members as Special Assistant to the Governor nominated by the ward party executives and stakeholders. He thank party members for their show of love, support and resilient while the crisis lasted noting that their uncommon solidarity and their collective resolve to stand with the oppressed have yielded the desired results.
While reaffirming the political leadership of the former Governor in Kogi State, the outspoken Kogi lawmaker insists that any attempt to use illegitimate means to harrase, humiliate and oppress the former Governor under the guise of financial probe will resisted by the people as both the anti graft agency and the foundamental rights of the citizen of Nigeria are protected under the constitution of country. Therefore, the idea of using federal agencies to harrase perceived political enemies is unacceptable.
Speaking in the same vain, Kogi State Accountant-General, Haj. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani re-emphasized the giant strides of Alh. Yahaya Bello in Kogi State in terms of infrastructure, health, education, civil service reform and human capital development.
These uncommon good deeds and his ability to established solid leadership foundation in the state culminated in the birth of the new administration of Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo a like mind to consolidate and build on his legacies therefore, the state government will never go to sleep while the father of new Kogi State is being harrased and humiliated.
