A demagogue is said to be an opportunist who maximizes his material gains at the expense of the state. He perpetuates corrupt practices and deliberately ruins the economy of his state. If he’s the head of government of his country, he naturally would want to remain in office for life in the face of maladministration.

The demagogue runs the state without any interest for the well being of the citizens. The nation means nothing to him except for the rip-offs he constantly extracts from it.

Okoli and Okoli (1990-9); “The demagogue uses all skills, cunning and intrigue in his power to manipulate political powers. He fans the embers of ethnicity when it suits his purpose and condemns it when it no longer serve his end. More worrisome about the demagogue is that he’s highly dishonest and unpatriotic. This is because he collaborates, at the slightest opportunity, with the enemies of the state to defraud the state and it people. The demagogue has no respect for the land and its people. He stretches the constitution to braking points and invokes the emergency powers of the state to haunt and suppress his real and imaginary opponents.”

The demagogue governor of Kogi state whose second term ambition is dead on mere speculation had since the inception of his ill administration which he inherited on a platter of gold and without the people’s mandate been insensitive to the plights of the good people of the state. He has no solution to the myriad of problems militating against the state. His visionless administration has reduced the innocent people of the state to nothing but horde of beggars and the economy of the state: a FAILURE.

I cannot help but marvel at how some self acclaimed leaders of goodwill,  unscrupulous elements, power mongers, political jobbers and paid agents in collaboration with the demagogue governor have been singing the praises of this vision administration with nothing to present to the people as their achievement except hunger.  Such an administration should and will not be allowed to continue.

NEVER!

It is regrettable that some leading figures, traditional rulers, groups and associations has arrogated to themselves the sole wisdom for the generality of Kogites. It is ironical and reprehensible that this group of Kogites would trade the welfare of Kogites and ultimately the progress of the state with some unsubstantiated technicalities why Gov. Bello must be returned elected come November 16.

November 16 affords us an opportunity to decide the fate of this administration; an opportunity to send them (the demagogue governor, his cronies and agents) out of the Lugard House.
