Hon. Karimi said this while speaking with Journalists shortly after distribution of 13 cars to beneficiaries during the 2014 Isanlu Day celebration in Isanlu area of Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The empowerment items said to be worth over N10 million include nine new Golf four cars and four Ford space buses, were given out to new beneficiaries in addition to those distributed in December 2013. Hon. Karimi explained that his concerned about the plight of the people at the grassroots level motivated him to carry out the Yagba People Empowerment Initiatives.
Hon. Karimi also pointed out that the initiative, launched in 2013, would soon take off, noting that the administrative staff to run the programme had already been recruited. He added that forms was available for collection by the beneficiaries. Said he, “I want bless my people.
I want to empower them and make them happy”, Karimi noted Hon. Karimi, however, dispelled the rumour making the rounds that the empowerment initiatives programme was to deceive the people of the area. He continued, “The Yagba People Empowerment Initiatives programme is real all the money realised is in the bank for the people of Yagbaland”, he stressed
