Mr AbdulGaniyu Abdullahi, one of the aspirants vying for the position of House of Representatives, Yagba Federal Constituency, Kogi west, under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has signified his intention to withdraw from the race.
A statement signed by Abdulganiyu and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Sunday, said he wished to make known his intention to step down from the race in order to ensure the victory of APC party in Yagba Federal Constituency in the 2019 general elections.
Abdulganiyu appreciated His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for believing in him and for the leadership role he has played in ensuring peace and unity in Yagba APC, Kogi west and in the state at large.
Abdulganiyu, who is the Coordinator of White Lion Family in Kogi, also commended all his teeming supporters for standing by him during the course of the struggle, while appealing to them to ensure that they support PMB/GYB and all other party candidates to ensure their victories in the 2019 general elections.
“I wish to make known my intention to step down from the race for House of Representatives, Yagba federal constituency. My intentions are pure but my stand with APC is solid and firm.
“My profound gratitude to our able President, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, for fatherly role he has played all along, and for leading the country on the path of greatness.
“I equally thanked our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his love for me, the party, and for his leadership role in ensuring that justice, fairness and equity prevailed in Kogi APC.
“We shall join hands and forces together to ensure the victory of our party in the 2019 general elections by the grace of God,” Abdulganiyu said.
