Yagba East Elite Group has hailed the choice of Sule Abdulwakil as the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters for Yagba East local government of Kogi State.
In a statement issued on Friday, the group’s spokesman, Oladele Elijah expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for appointing Sule as his security aide in the local government.
The group, made up of sons and daughters of Yagba East LGA, described Sule Abdulwakil as an illustrious and credible son of Isanlu land.
The group stated that the generality of the people of Yagba East are highly elated with Governor Bello’s choice, describing the appointment of Sule as a “round peg in a round hole which can be likened to a soothing balm on an age-long injury”.
“We recall that His Excellency has assured that he will always stand by the truth, equity, justice and fairness which has been the hallmark of the distribution of appointments since the New Direction government came on board.
“With this appointment, all and sundry are at peace with the government and also willing to drum up support for the New Direction government at the grassroots. We pray the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello succeed and provide dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots,” he said.
The President, Dr Kayode Olushina said the the group appreciates Governor Bello for citing the Omi Rice Mill in Yagba Federal constituency which will in turn drive the rate of development in adjoining local government areas.
