The chairman of Yagba East local government of Kogi State, Hon. Abdulrazaq Ijagbemi has reiterated his avowed commitment to ensure safety of lives and property in the area.
The council boss made this know in Isanlu, the local government headquarters, on Monday during a security meeting with relevant agencies and the traditional council to recalibrate the security architecture of the area.
He told the stakeholders that has directed relevant agencies to deploy security operatives to all entrance routes into the local government. He also cautioned the stakeholders on the inflow of Fulani immigrants.
Abdulrasaq commended security agencies for their efforts in maintaining law and order in the area, assuring them of his continued maximum support in making Yagba East the most peaceful and secured local government area in Kogi State.
The security meeting has in attendance traditional rulers, officers of different security agencies, vigilante and local hunters.
The meeting is coming on the heels of the abduction of the council chairman of the neighbouring Yagba West local government, Hon. Pius Kolawole.
