As we prepare for the primaries of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I humbly write to inform you formally of my ambition to contest as a candidate for the exalted office of Executive Chairman Yagba East Local Government Area and to seek for your support in emerging as the party candidate in the forthcoming Kogi State Local Government Elections.
I am Sule Abdulwakil Olorunjuwon, an alumnus of University of Nigeria, Nsukka where I obtained Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, a trained teacher, societal change advocate and a social mobiliser.
Born in the early eighties to the Families of Alhaji Isiaka and Alhaja M.F. Sule, both renowned, seasoned and disciplined administrators, retired teachers and astute community leaders with remarkable records.
I am an aborigine of Ilafin Aredu Isanlu and raised in Bagido Isanlu where I had my early childhood education at AUD Primary School and OMCHS Isanlu for my secondary education.
My first working experience was in 2004 as a Classroom Teacher with JNI Secondary School, Ife Olukotun as seconded by Yagba East Education Authority and left in 2005 to join Kogi State Local Government Service (Ijumu LGA) as a Community Development Officer, rising to Senior Social Welfare officer during a period spanning fifteen years working experience.
I have been very active in the politics of Yagba East since the commencement of the current democratic journey as a grassroot foot-soldier, strategist and social mobiliser. My involvement in politics stems from my deep rooted belief in the continuous improvement of mankind.
In the course of time and with garnered experiences, I have come to the conclusion that welfare advancement of people, society and humanity remains the major purpose of government and Hallmark of a public servant.
I have at all times devoted myself to the positive advancement of humanity at every inch of opportunities that cross my way as my modest contributions to societal change.
For me, no other best place I call home other than Yagba East as I have lived a better part of my life, especially with my unique background as an aborigine of Ilafin Aredu Ward 10, raised in Bagido Ward 9, with a maternal root from South East Yagba (Oke Oyi), and my marriage to a South East Yagba woman combined with my first working experience in South East Yagba.
As a party faithful, my loyalty to our common cause and respect for our party leaders is sacrosanct. I have strived at all times to show consideration for the feelings of others.
Sir/Ma, it is against this background that I am convinced that I possess the required experience and exposure to give our local government its deserved stewardship.
I certainly cannot go this alone, I count on your support and hopefully believe you will give it willingly.
Accept assurances of my highest regards.
