Works Commissioner Commiserate With Solid Minerals Counterpart, Bashir Gegu, Over Father’s Demise

Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Muhammed Ahovi Yusuf, has described the death of Imam Abubakar Umar, the father Engr. Bashiru Gegu, State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, as unfortunate and touching.

The Commissioner, in a statement through his Public Relation Officer, Mr Abah Benjamin Eneojoh Treasure, expressed deep sadness over the news of the passing away of Imam Abubakar Umar.

Yusuf condoled with Engr. Bashiru Gegu, urging him to be consoled by the legacies of impact his father left behind.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time as we mourn the loss of the late beloved patriarch.

“Imam Abubakar Umar was a great icon of Gegu-Beki, known for his wisdom, kindness, and dedication to his faith and community. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the values he instilled in others. May Allâh grant him Aljanat fildaus.

“I ask Allâh to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May they find comfort in the memories of Imam Abubakar Umar and may Allâh ease their pain during this time of grief. My thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this challenging period,” he said.
