A MESSAGE TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KABBA-BUNU/IJUMU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY IN COMMEMORATION OF INTERNATIONAL WORKERS DAY CELEBRATION 2018

Dear constituents of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, I seize the opportunity of this day to appreciate and celebrate your resilience/dedication as workers, in the private and public sectors where your contributions has in no small measure contributed to the our GDP.
I am not unaware of the challenges facing workers across the country in terms of welfare and other areas that requires improvement. Part of this and many more has spurred me to run for Federal House of Representative slot of our Constituency in the next general elections, come 2019.
I believe that via our existing laws, the government at various levels can be encouraged to be more people-oriented than otherwise. I also believe that what is currently obtainable can be improved upon through constant dialogue and legislative instruments.
As it bothers on the non-working population of our constituency, we will make do with the available federal constituency interventions so that our people can be empowered and many taken off the streets to make them self-sufficient and to be able keep both soul and body together there by reducing idleness, social disturbances and the chances of taking to crime and criminality.
While I am not unaware of the pains the workers are going through at the moment, I implore every member of our constituency to be patient, strong and dedicated to their duties, for I am persuaded that nothing lasts forever, including our present pains and challenges.
On this very day I celebrate the dedication of our people towards the good and greater glory of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole. On this very day I celebrate the working population of our great federal constituency. Specially, on this very day I celebrate the ever-vibrant and hardworking youths of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency. You all are the fulcrum upon which the progress and success of our federal constituency rely upon. As such, the accolades you deserve can never be given to you enough.
I celebrate every member of our constituency, both home and in diaspora for we are all in one way or the other working towards the good of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu constituency. As like-minds we are the reason for this special day.
In a special way, I wish to use this opportunity to appreciate our distinguished leader and Member representating our Federal Constituency, Honourable Tajudeen Yusuf. His leadership inputs, round-the-clock efforts, quality representation and sleepless nights has contributed to most of the life-transforming progresses that we have made in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency today. My message will not be complete without recognising and celebrating him.
I wish to as well use this opportunity to urge all our constituents to remain strong and focused as we tend towards the 2019 general elections.
