As the nation marks this year workers day, the Kogi State Commissioner for rural development, Hon Enema Paul has stated that a new dawn has come for Kogi state and the teeming workers even as he expressed his goodwill to labour unions, workers and Kogites in generality.
The Commissioner further expressed his delight in the final conclusion of the staff screening and verification exercise which he noted was an unavoidable social sacrifice necessary to sanitize and make Kogi civil service schemes efficient stressing that Kogi has been long held to hostage to the materialistic thirst of a few wigs against a teeming population of ideal civil servants and increasing graduates seeking employment.
The Commissioner noted that: “truth be told, Kogi civil servants have been patient enough and I salute their cooperation thus far, as a part of the system of Kogi government, I say with all sense of humility that we feel their pains and the conclusion of the long endured screening has brought a new dawn in the state.”
Speaking further, he said: “just as it is currently ongoing in the ministry of health, enrollments has been done in the ministry of Justice, Kogi State Board of internal revenue, Ministry of environment and other ones are in offing to gainfully engage kogites”. He thereafter congratulated Kogi workers and particularly the ones attached to ministry of rural development with an appeal for diligence and dedication in their daily discharge.
