A group of women from Lokoja Ward D have reaffirmed their support to the reelection bid of Governor Yahaya Adoza.
The women group, whose membership cut across all axis from the ward, made this known on Sunday at a meeting organised to woo more support for the Gov. Bello/Edward Onoja governorship ticket in the November 16 gubernatorial poll.
They congratulated the Engr. Abubakar Ohere on his elevation from Special Adviser to the Governor on Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs to Commissioner.
In an opening remarks, the Lokoja LGA APC Chairman, Alh. Maikudi Bature thanked the women for supporting the Governor to deliver for President Muhammadu Buhari as well as the elections into Senate, House of Reps and the State Assembly.
He added that extending that gesture even more to the Governor would no doubt attract more dividends of democracy to the people.
Responding, a cross section of the women in a unanimous voice affirmed of coming in their large numbers to return the GYB to Lugard House through the polls come November 16, 2019.
They requested for something to be done about their blown up transformer to enable them enjoy electricity support and boost their businesses.
They commended Ohere for holding firmly to the grassroot and supporting their children in terms of education and themselves in areas of need and promised to return the favors.
The meeting which was organised by Muhammed Awal Babase, a loyalist of Hon. Ohere, had in attendance the Ward D party Chairman and other executives, youths, other loyalist of government from the traditional areas of Lokoja amongst others.
