The people of Eika Ohizenyi in Okehi local government area of Kogi state came out in good numbers to sign up for the recall of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan from the national assembly.

The recall process which began in the most part of the Kogi Central senatorial district on Wednesday generated series of reactions from the members of Senator Natasha’s constituency.

Speaking on the sidelines of the exercise, some of the electorate advanced reasons for their action.

Luke Itopa blamed the lawmaker for keeping them in the dark and questioned her decision to pick a fight with her superior.

Another constituent, Mariam Oyiza, who claimed to have knowledge of the exercise, they can not afford not to be represented at the red chamber in the next six months, thereby denying them all the legislative entitlements.

For Abdulaziz Salami, the issue at hand has nothing to do with political party affiliation as they feel ashamed that their senator is putting her ego ahead of the interest of Kogi Central senatorial district.

It should be noted that the senate recently suspended Barrister Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan for six months over what they described as unruly behavior and directed that her office be sealed and all official properties in her possession returned to the Clerk of the National Assembly.

The Senate disciplinary committee’s action follow an altercation between senator Akpoti-Uduaghan and the Senate President Godswill Akpabio after the seat of the former was reallocated in the chamber.
