Kogi State is at the threshold of history once again. The search for  would be Rector of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja  is ongoing. While the need to engage capable hand this time around is not negotiable, some have said that their is the need to look inward, as the school also paraded some  of the finest academicians who are versed in their fields of study and possessed the needed  requisite managerial credentials. The emergence of such officer from within the circle will create room for Continuity effectiveness and general well-being of the institution.
One of such personality which quickly come to mind is Puke Tunde Anthony. He holds a B. Sc., MPA, M.Sc., Ph.D(Publi Administration). He has held several positions of responsibility in the institution. He served as HoD (Dept of Part-Time and Extra-Mural Studies, 2007-2010).
He was also Dean, School of Part-Time and Extra-mural Studies(2010-2012), Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kogi State (2012-2014). After his tenure as commissioner, because of love for the academic environment and his love to train younger generations of leader, unlike some others he returned to the classroom.
He was again appointed Dean, School of Management Studies (2015-date). He Served as Chairman, Secretary and member of several Polytechnic Management, Development, Disciplinary and Examination Boards and Committees.
He is a Member, of the Academic Board(2007-date),  Member, Management Borad(2010-date). Member, Polytechnic Governing Council(2009-2012),   Membership of Professional Bodies: Fellow, Chartered Institute of Administrators(FCAI), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Classic Entrepreneurs(FInCENT).
Member, Nigeria Institute of Management(MNIM).
Above he several books and academic publications to his credit.
He is From Kogi Central, Ajaokuta LGA, Kogi State.
We have several others abound in the Polytechnic. Looking inward will not only bring about development in the institution, it would be cost effective for the government considering the dwindling economic fortunes of the state.
