A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Mopamuro Local Government Area, Mr. Samuel Obasun has carpeted Sen. Dino Melaye for “promoting a selfish interest against the Governor of Kogi State”, saying the Senator is on the path to political oblivion.
Addressing newsmen in Mopa on Monday, Obasun condemned the “political brigandage of Senator Dino Melaye who is fighting a self-centered cause”.
“Dino Melaye is ungrateful. He singlehandedly brought the Secretary to the State Government, the number three in the Executive hierarchy, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade. The Governor didn’t know the SSG before Dino recommended her and today, she is the SSG of Kogi State.
“Trouble started when he wanted to bring his candidate for the position of Ijumu Local Government Administrator and the Governor explained to him that Alh. Taofeeq Isah had already been pencilled down for that. From that time, Dino started his campaign of calumny against the Governor.
“Dino thinks our Governor is a coward that will shake under his blackmail voice. We will demystify him because he has come to his political end. Members of the public should know that Dino is fighting for his belly and his political future and should not use the unsuspecting public to promote his satanic agenda against the Kogi people”.
Obasun said the Kogi State labour leaders should come out to explain their relationship with Dino.
“Why were some of them holding meetings with Dino? What have they collected from Dino? Labour is part of the ongoing civil service reforms in Kogi State and does not have any justification for any strike.
“If Dino doesn’t stop his antics against our state, we the APC members will move against him. His diaspora EXCO cannot save him from the impending doom”.
He thanked the Governor for bringing true change to the state, assuring the administration of unalloyed support by genuine members of the APC.
