Senator Smart Adeyemi is a man who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. Born 18th August 1960, he is somebody who is selfless, generous in spirit and with a caring heart which has earned him ‘the Advocate of the Masses in the Nigerian Senate’.
He spoke through his aide, Mr. Ayodele Demokun where he gives reasons why he chose not to throw party in celebration of his birthday this year. According to him, “While I thank God for all He has done for me and my family, my conscience will not just allow me to celebrate because Nigeria and indeed the entire world is passing through a very terrible period of high level of unemployment, poverty and insecurity”.
Mr Ayo said “My Boss (Senator Smart Adeyemi) will later today visit orphanage and less privilege homes but really appreciate people of his senatorial district, friends and well wishers and indeed Nigerians for their birthday wishes and promise never to relent in his effort of championing the course of the masses, development of his constituency (Kogi West) and support for the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan”.
