…Ex-KSU Student Union President challenges Kogites
By Onoja Johnson Baba.
A former president of the Student Union Government, SUG, Kogi State University, Comrade Agih Abdul Micah has questioned the silence been maintain by many Kogites on the current situation of the state.
The former student boss in an article he titled as “Kogi in the Eyes of the Storm.” warned that if something is not done to restore normal flow of governance the people may soon die in penury.
Comrade Agih, who released this article through his social media timeline (Agih Abdul Micah) today the 5th July 2016, called on well-meaning Kogites to rescue the state from what he described as “a state of anarchy and anomie.”
He also called on the government to adopt a remarkable change to restore the desired democracy to the state.
“Who will save Kogi State from this political brinkmanship? Who will take Kogi State out of this perfidious drift?
Where are the visionaries, the human right activist, the intellectuals, the elder statesmen, the appointed men of God?
Our dear state is gradually plugging into a state of anarchy and anomie goes applauded by sycophants, it is an ignoble fight against the voice of good conscience. Why are you all silent in the eyes of the storm?
I believe is time for you to wear your thinking Cap before we all die in penury. All it takes for evil to strive is for men and women of good will to look away while evil is perpetrated.
A message to the leaders in Kogi State: “We cannot build the city of our heart desires under the constant menace of aggression. Let continue with a remarkable change, for the resources we need to turn our dreams to reality is within us. Let live to develop the state as brothers, for democracy is a game of numbers. My leaders at the top, the voice of the people are the voice of God. Two wrongs cannot make one right, for true greatness lies not in dominance but in service to the people. Power they said is not endowed to mankind but to God the almighty”, Agih wrote.
