Prior to the nomination of Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni as a minister to represent Kogi state at the National Executive Council, there was a lot of tension, protests, marginalization assumptions, interest projection and many other political permutations between Kogi stakeholders and those that matters in politics.
The disagreement between the stakeholders and those that matters in Kogi politics led to the free falling of all interests and permutations immediately Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni was nominated and confirmed as Minister to replace Late James Ocholi.
Oyes! We have gotten a Minister, a very good one to be precise! A Minister who has been quiet when his brothers and sisters are slaughtered and butchered in Oganeinugu and Agbenema extraction! A scenario that witnessed many houses and properties burned down completely. A Minister that prior to his appointment, close to 200 academic staff were brutally and illegally removed or sack from Kogi State University and today he is the Minister of Labour and cannot do anything about it.
A Minister of labour and productivity that the labour welfare in his own State is in jeopardy. A Labour Minister that watched his fellow Kogites collect 30% salaries and wages monthly. A Minister of Labour that couldn’t do anything when a legally constituted ASUU Union in his only indigenous state-owned University is still under proscription. A Minister that is always cold and silent even when in active duty.
I truly don’t get it! Can anyone tell me where I can find him?
