It’s no more news that the most populated and largest senatorial district in the state is presently not represented in the green house of the national assembly. I might be so unaware of the situations surrounding this setback but whatever it is, INEC should know that the Igala people are no more conducive with the development.
It’s very clear that the National INEC is adding to the pain the Igala people are passing through, haven lost two of their illustrious sons to the cold hands of death in succession within 3- months, Prince Abubakar Audu who died at the point of his success which has since thrown the state to an unusual political uncertainty, and Bar. James Ocholi who died in a ghastly motor accident alongside with his wife and son.
The re-run election which was declared inconclusive has since been abandoned by the INEC whether unintentionally or they are succumbing to forces from some quarters, it remain unclear to a reasoning mind.
However, INEC should know that this is no more in line with the constitution of this Nation, where a whole senatorial district like the Mighty Kogi East is not represented or involved in taking a national decision. Does this means those that are to fight for this are not aware of this mischief?
Is the national INEC actually having anything unresolved concerning this? Where have we actually gone wrong?
These are questions that remain fresh on the lips of every concern. Is it until protest is lead to the INEC office before they know what to do? Please I use this medium to call on those in authority to take a positive step towards this injustice coming to our land, because whatever is good for the goose should also be good for ganders.
This is no more time to apportion blame, this is the time to fight for the right of Igala land. We unanimously voted for Audu, along the line he received the call of nature, Ocholi on his own part was appointed as minister for state labour and employment, he also died on the stage, we should also not have a senator representing the red soil again? What have we done?
