Democracy involves the process of changing custodians of power from time to time in order to maintain a useful equilibrium of performance and accountability. But the post colonial narrative in most African countries has been one of strongmen and power brokers entrenching themselves deeply across the crucial levels of the society.
Perhaps, this is one of the reasons most of African States are tagged ‘weak States’ or ‘failed Nations’.
Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is out to change the narrative by legislating a new model of sustainable economic development through a holistic and multi-stakeholder approaches within Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency of Kogi State.
If the constituency must grow, he opines that equitable human capital development should be held as a priority through skill acquisition, talent hunts, mentoring, better learning environment, small and medium enterprises.
As the electorate prepares to go to the poll on the 16th of February, 2019 and with the thought of a better constituency, let it be known that Wemi Jones has the vision, character and knowledge to change the narrative of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency.
