The political cloud is tense with activities and gradually, it is becoming clearer and propelling for a brighter day. The brightness that will shine where people will see the light of the day in joy, forgetting their previous discomfort and economic depravity.
Wemi jones is one of those currently aspiring to represent Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, come 2019 general elections.
Born into a humble family, he grew up with passion for others and seeing the dilemma confronting the constituency, he is the belief that the constituency could as well develop to a higher. This has awaken the urge to contribute his own quota to the development of his constituency.
Wemi Jones’s interest in politics at the moment. His passion has been generated over the years and in the last few years, he has actively helped in administering good electoral processes by helping to monitor credible and successful elections.
In Kabba/Bunu, where he hails from, there is a saying: “What is making everybody to be part of the government is to be able to continue with the job.” He believes youths have a lot to offer and being a youth himself in Nigeria, Wemi is passionately advocating that youths must come out and start letting their voices be heard which is very important to make a difference.
Wemi Jones has taken some giant steps imbibing the grassroots political strategies by meeting the people to know their areas of needs and what should be done in their constituency.
Driven by this zeal, he is passionately asking Okun youths to make use of the golden opportunity at the moment and go into politics.He pointed out that the energetic zeal at which youths can do greater works within a short time is a plus.
Wemi Ojo Jones is taking the bull by its horn and he is forging ahead in his political career and has decided to contest for the Federal House of Representatives seat to represent the good people of Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
He has his own political ideology which embodies youth empowerment, women empowerment, agriculture and positive infrastructure turnaround. He has put some structures and mechanisms in place to make his aspiration successful; part of which is constitution of youth and women wings respectively. He will be meeting with them from time to time so as to know what to do to meet their needs.
