Our attention has been drawn to a publication by Daily Post alleging that former Local Government Secretaries in Kogi State plan to decamp to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing claims of abandonment and lack of compensation.
As the Secretary of the Forum of Former Local Government Secretaries (Class of 2024), I, Hon. Matthew James Omeiza, wish to categorically state that this information is entirely false and does not represent the position of our forum.
The mandate to speak on behalf of the Secretaries rests solely with the forum executives, and we are unaware of any individual or group within our ranks who authorized or expressed such sentiments. We strongly dissociate ourselves from such publications and reject the misrepresentation of our collective voice.
While it is true that we were replaced, A decision that may have affected some of us emotionally, we continue to maintain our unshaken faith in the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and in the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Few members of our forum have been reappointed by their respective Local Government Chairmen, as noted in the said publication. Our loyalty to the party and its leadership remains steadfast and unquestionable.
Earlier, the forum had officially written to His Excellency through the office of the Chief of Staff, expressing our appreciation for the opportunity to serve and also respectfully appealing for further inclusion in the current administration in any capacity deemed appropriate.

We take this opportunity to once again remind His Excellency of our commitment to his administration’s success and appeal for renewed opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the development of our dear state.
Signed:
Hon. Matthew James Omeiza
Secretary, Forum of Former Kogi State Local Government Secretaries (Class of 2024)
