The leadership of Kogi Youths Leaders Forum has challenged the ‘appointed’ National Youth Leader of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Garba Chiza to resign honourably as he is not qualified to hold such position.
The Youth Leaders Forum, in a statement signed by its President, Alamoh Kehinde Samual (AKS) and National Publicity Secretaries, Friday Idris and Sunday Olowosayo, insisted that the Nigerian youth are no more learners, also appealed to the highest judicial body in Nigeria, the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Adoke and the good people of Nigeria to ensure that fairness and justice is done to the ongoing court case between .Alh Garba Chiza, PDP and Honourable Olabode Adeyemi to determine who is constitutionaly eligible to contest for the position of PDP National Youth Leader.
With pursuant to article 27.2(e) of the PDP constitution which says a youth is a person between age 18-40. Records have it that Hon. Olabode Adeyemi is the only candidate within the age bracket among the 11 aspirants that contested the election for the party youth leadership.
In this regard, the forum urged the 63-yr old Alh Garba Chiza to humbly embrace the constitution as a party faithful and resign.
