The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Dr. Edward Onoja CIK has congratulated the national and state leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the just-concluded ward congresses held across the 239 wards of the state.
Speaking after the exercise in Ogugu, Olamaboro local government area of the state on Saturday, Onoja described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and commendable, adding that it marks rays of excellence in growth for the APC and the Nigerian democracy.
Onoja stated that Governor Yahaya Bello has been in the business of bringing succour and prosperity to the party in the state and national levels, through deliberate integration, communication, and collaboration.
He added that “it is interesting that ward executives emerged in peaceful conduct across the wards based on a consensus arrangement earlier agreed upon at a stakeholder meeting in Lokoja on Friday.”
“This is an affirmation that the APC in Kogi State is rancour-free and holds strongly to the ideals of the party’s constitution.”
Dr. Onoja calls for sustainability of resolutions made at the congresses “as the APC continues to break newer grounds that ensures its stability of structure, and the influx of new members in the coming months.”
