We have an association in our dear state called “Wailers Association of Kogi (WAK)”. Their goal is to always drag the image of our state down through spreading fake news and unfounded stories about the state.

Most of their members are always glued to their phones 24hours hoping and praying bad news emanate from Kogi state like jobless lots. Some of them  have means of making money from such activism, and those in that category now see such as a means of livelihood. Their slogan is “We Are Fighting for the Masses, Civil Servants, Pensioners…..”.

This set of youths do not wish for our state to progress because they will run out of business. Some of their members do what they do because of money, some just want to be popular, some want to be noticed and some are just after facebook likes and comments. The gullible ones among us see them as activist and their hero.

Suggesting what will make Kogi state progress is not their concern. In fact, whenever any good thing happen in Kogi state, it makes them purge. They are only concerned on how to fabricate stories with either the image of our young and vibrant Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello or his siamese twin brother, Deputy Governor Chief Edward Onoja.

This association is not affiliated to any political party. We have their members in PDP, APGA, ADC, SDP, APC. As long as you don’t like anything under Bello/Onoja, you can be a member. They are so bent on destroying anything that will make this current administration progress.

The members of this association tasked themselves to become an enemy of their own state. A nuisance to the society. So unfortunate they want to have another four years of sad life, bitterness and sleepless night as they forget that the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello and his team of “new direction” are too focused to be distracted.

This set of youths fails to understand that what happens on social media is far from the reality on the grassroot. They also fail to realise that Kogites now know them and have resulted to stand by the youthful government under the leadership of Gov Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja.

It is high time we outgrow politics of propaganda. Let us be a solution rather to be the problem. Kogi state is for all and the progress and the protection of it good image ought to be our priority.

Be it be in opposition or ruling party, let your criticism be constructive. Advocacy ought to be done in a diplomatic manner devoid of hates, propaganda, going into our leaders’ private life, image damaging and mischief.
